Instructor Testimonials
"Worth every single penny."
“Training with Jill and Bernie was an absolute privilege. They are truly at the heart of The Lotte Berk Method, bringing incredible authenticity, knowledge and passion, with the unique experience or learning directly from Lotte's daughter.
Beyond being two genuinely wonderful and inspiring women, they deliver a course that is worth every single penny. Training courses can be a big investment, and you never quite know if they'll be worth it, but this one absolutely was. I couldn't recommend them more highly to anyone wanting to train as a Barre Instructor.
“The Lotte Berk Training weekend was amazing at Reformer Lab! Dr Jill and Bernie were so educational and encouraging to all instructors. Emma was a great host, always checking in and making sure everyone was comfortable even leaving us treats which was such a lovely touch. Would highly recommend signing up for future training here!!

History
Barre was innovated by Lotte Berk in 1959 as a dance-based programme that offered women physical and psychological benefits, such as improvements in muscle strength, tone, posture, mood, and confidence. Berk considered her programme to be a performance art, underpinned by contemporary ballet, which had a been a passion for her.
Berk launched her program from a basement studio on Manchester Street and her celebrity devotees are documented as Joan Collins, Britt Ekland and Barbra Streisand to name a few.
